Create without the monthly wall
Coming within a month, Nilo is changing how Bits work. Today, if you use up your monthly Bits, you’re stuck waiting for multiple weeks until your reset date to create again. That’s frustrating, and difficult to plan out your wallet for. So we’re getting rid of the monthly wall entirely and changing how the wallet works.
With the Bits Battery, your ability to generate is based on a charge. The Bits Battery refills continuously over time instead of resetting once a month.
How does the Bits Battery work?
The Bits Battery is represented by a usage limit that is used when generating in Nilo.
The Bits Battery has a capacity and recharge rate based on your subscription tier. The higher the tier, the more usage you have to work with in Nilo, up to eight times the capacity!
What about my current Bits?
We’re converting everyone’s current Bits balance into Bonus Bits.
These Bonus Bits are used automatically when your Bits Battery is used.
When you earn Bits from Nilo Rewards or purchase Bits, they will also appear as Bonus Bits.
FAQ
- Am I getting less Bits than before? No. The total capacity and recharge rate of the Bits Battery is at least equivalent or better than the previous system.
- How quickly does it recharge? The Bits Battery recharges to full capacity in one week, regardless of subscription tier.
- Can I see how much each generation costs? Generation costs are now represented by a symbol system instead of finite numbers to simplify the UI.
- Do Bits still exist? Yes. Bits from the previous system are still held and represented as Bonus Bits until they are consumed.
- Will my plan change? No. The previous subscription tier you have elected will remain in place.
- What if I need more usage than my Bits Battery allows? You can purchase more Bits on the profile page to recharge your Bits Battery faster.
